When I was a child, my father brought my brother and me to the construction site of his three story office building. He handed us each a new 1985 series quarter and instructed us where to drop them in the freshly poured concrete. Over time, the memory of that event became the foundation of my passion for land development.
I received my BSBA in Decision and Information Sciences with honors from the University of Florida in 2001, and I received my Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 2004.
After Law School, I had the privilege of working with the Partners at McMullen Development in Orlando, FL for eight years. McMullen has a long and distinguished history of building Mixed Use Resorts throughout the world for brands like Marriott and Hilton, as well as independent developers. My responsibilities included Due Diligence, Project Management and Information Systems investments for our clients as well as General Counsel duties for the company.
We were challenged by many complexities as the markets shifted from euphoria to depression and new clients came in search of sales and marketing insight. Excellent communication, teamwork and situational awareness of the factors affecting our desired outcomes along with constant flexibility allowed us to help our clients in unique and successful ways.
Now, I am taking my passion for land development and all that I have learned working with the upper echelon of Mixed Use Land Development professionals and applying it to Transitional Land projects in Florida.
I have promised my partners that as we grow we will be smart about our business, have fun and give back. I hope to share those stories with you in the near future.

An open, critically thinking mind, thorough research and sound use of valuation methodologies are crucial to ensuring that a property is offered at pricing that is credible and feasible.
I have worked in the commercial real estate industry for over ten years, predominantly as an appraiser. Over this period, I have had the chance to work on a broad range of property types, providing real property valuation solutions for litigation purposes (including expert witness testimony), purchase options and buy/sell negotiations, estate planning, condemnation/eminent domain and lending decisions. These assignments have afforded me the opportunity to work with and ultimately build an excellent network of highly respected professionals.
These experiences paired with extensive education and examinations through the Appraisal Institute and desire to leave no stone unturned are essential to my contributions.
I welcome the opportunity for our diversely talented team to provide you peace of mind throughout and beyond our involvement with your property.
Early in my career I had the benefit of working directly with a top producing commercial real estate broker in the Northeast Florida market. This intense, fast paced, environment with a focus on the client’s interest and attainable results contributed to my desire to become active on the brokerage side again.
I graduated from the University of North Florida in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Finance, Investments. This educational experience has proven to be an excellent foundation for the skills acquired and developed during my career.
I have had the benefit of working directly with my father, a highly respected appraiser in the Greater Central Florida market. This working relationship continues today.

As the old saying goes, 10 percent of the fishermen catch 90 percent of the fish. Those 10 percent do not just blind troll in a vast ocean, they study all the available data, currents, weather patterns, and more to make educated decisions on pin pointing and targeting specific species of fish. They calculate time and fuel, keeping cost in mind, to identify the best potential possibilities.
I have been licensed with the Florida Association of Realtors for over 8 years and I have created my own prospecting lists for mixed use residential, commercial, marina and land sales in Northwest Florida, including millions of dollars in sales of Legendary Inc's Emerald Grande at Harborwalk Village in Destin, Florida. I was a top 10 agent producer in volume and transactions in the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors for the years 2007-2010.
I received my BSBA in Decision and Information Science with a concentration in Economics from the University of Florida in 2003. I have also worked for industry leading companies such as Northwestern Mutual and Wyndham Vacation Resorts.
With an ocean of choices to navigate, my approach to real estate sales is based on targeted data to pinpoint the most promising opportunities. Just as there is a science to fishing, there is a science to real estate.

My name is John and I am a storyteller.
I tell my stories with images, graphics and yes, my words. I have been telling stories nearly my entire life. I started professionally in 1997, the same year I Graduated with Honors from the University of Florida. At UF, I was named to the College of Fine Arts Dean’s List, earned a BFA in Graphic Design and also received a Business Administration Minor.
In my story, chapters have included; having worked for the second largest sunglasses company in the USA, having run my own business and currently holding the position of Creative Director of Graphics at HHCP Architects, an Orlando based international architectural firm. In that time, I have done everything from branding, logo design, investor packages, promotional books, billboards, complex folding posters and mailers, renderings, animations, promotional videos, to web site design and development. In fact, I created the web site you are reading right now.
Some of the clients that I have helped craft stories for include Disney, Universal, the NCAA, Wal-Mart, NASCAR, Polaroid, Hilton, Long Run International Group, the Government of Qatar, Jekyll Island Convention Center, McMullen Development and CVS/Pharmacy among others.
I look forward to supporting Sage Land Group's clients by creating compelling branding, informational graphics, signage and other marketing materials that connects buyers and sellers using stories that sell.
